Our mohair comes from Groesbeek in the Netherlands. A veterinarian keeps a small herd of Angora goats there. The blend with merino makes for a wonderfully soft yarn. Wonderful for scarves, sweaters and cardigans. The yardage is approximately 400 meters/100 grams and therefore it falls into the fingering/sock yarn category or Yarn Group A.

Composition 30% mohair and 70% merino from Blij bezuiden (Zeeland, NL)

This keeps the lines short and allows us to know exactly where the wool comes from and where it has been before it ends up in our shop. All Schaapjeswol is hand-dyed, sometimes with plants, but also with environmentally friendly dyes.
