Sanne’s Spindle

Sanne’s Drop Spindles, made from high-quality laminated beechwood with a bamboo shaft, are designed for both beginners and experienced spinners. Available in two sizes:

  • 18 mm disc, weight: about 23 grams.
  • 25 mm disc, weight: about 29 grams.

With the majority of the weight placed on the outer edge of the disc, the spindle spins more steadily and stays in motion longer. DIY KitOur drop spindles come as a compact DIY kit, which fits neatly in a letterbox-sized package. You can easily assemble the spindle as a ‘top whorl’ or choose a ‘bottom whorl’ setup by attaching the disc to the opposite end of the shaft. Simply use a pencil sharpener to create a pointed tip. What’s included:
