Skapjes shawl

This shawl is knitted in a playful striped pattern using 15 different Skapjes colors. The kit includes all carefully selected shades as well as the pattern (in Dutch), so you can get started right away.

The wool comes from sheep that roam freely on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, and each skein is hand-dyed using environmentally friendly dyes. This creates subtle color variations and gives every shawl a unique character.

The shawl is knitted sideways using 3 mm needles. As everyone’s knitting style is different, we recommend making a gauge swatch first. This will help you determine whether you need slightly larger or smaller needles to achieve the correct gauge.

After washing and blocking, the shawl measures approximately 275 cm long and 60 cm wide — perfect for cooler days. With this knitting project, you’re bringing home more than just materials.
